Steve Cordeiro

Steve Cordeiro is a lifelong resident of South Windsor and a dedicated public servant with deep roots in the community. He and his wife are raising three children — a daughter and two sons — who attend South Windsor High School and Timothy Edwards Middle School.

Steve’s connection to South Windsor began when his parents immigrated to the United States and built their family home in town. He grew up attending Pleasant Valley School, Timothy Edwards, and South Windsor High School, and has remained committed to the community ever since.

For more than two decades, Steve worked as a 911 Public Safety Dispatcher for the South Windsor Police Department, retiring in 2024 after 22 years of service. He also volunteered with the South Windsor Fire Department for over 15 years, earning Life Member status, and has worked with the Ambulance Service of Manchester for more than 30 years, where he continues to serve part-time.

Beyond public safety, Steve has given his time and expertise to town government, serving on the Charter Revision Commission, the Inland Wetlands Agency/Conservation Commission, the Social Justice & Racial Equity Commission, and the Water Pollution Control Authority.

With a lifetime of service, both as a volunteer and as a professional in public safety, Steve brings a wealth of experience, perspective, and commitment to his candidacy for South Windsor Town Council. He believes his background uniquely positions him to help guide South Windsor’s future with responsibility, balance, and a continued dedication to the residents who call it home.
