Nima Shah
completing high school, she pursued higher education, earning a degree in biology followed by Doctor of
Pharmacy (PharmD). In 2009, she relocated to Connecticut after marrying her husband, where they have
since built a life together raising their two sons, now ages 12 and 13.
Professionally, Nima has been a dedicated pharmacist for 19 years. She works at a children’s hospital,
now in a per diem capacity, and also serves as a consultant pharmacist for nursing homes. She takes great
pride in the impact her work has on patients, families, and the community, and views her role as a way to
meaningfully contribute to the well-being of others.
As a working mother, Nima makes it a priority to remain actively engaged in her children’s education and
extracurricular activities. She regularly volunteers at their school for various events and believes in the
importance of building strong partnership between parents and educators to help every child reach their
full potential.
Outside of her professional and community commitments, Nima enjoys spending time with family and
friends, travel, dancing, reading and singing. She has also shared her passion for the arts by volunteering
at her temple’s Sunday schools, where she taught dance to children.
Nima strongly believes her own life is a reflection of how access to a strong education provides a pathway
to success and opportunity. She is committed to passing on those same opportunities to others, ensuring
that every child has the resources, encouragement, and support they need to thrive.
