Dipali Kalia moved to the US from India in 1999. Originally from Fairfield County, she has been a resident of South Windsor for over 10 years. Dipali and her husband Rajat are proud of the town they now call home and have had a wonderful experience watching their two boys go through the town’s school system. Both currently attend South Windsor High School where her older son, Aryan is a rising senior and her younger son, Aarush is a rising freshman. She loves spending time with her puppy, Mowgli.
Dipali has been a big advocate of early access to STEM education considering not just math and science but developing new ways of thinking and encouraging curiosity. Her family has been one of the strongest supporters of the Mathcounts program at Timothy Edwards Middle School. She believes that education should not be the sole responsibility of the educators. Parents and teachers, together, can explore ways to better empower students and remove any barriers to education.
Dipali has been trained in Six Sigma Process improvement strategies and currently works within the Agile product development framework within the insurance industry. In her free time, she loves to dance to Bollywood music, hike, travel, and spend time with her family.
