Art Adduci III

Art Adduci III grew up in Meriden, CT and moved to South Windsor with his wife and three children in 2017.  His wife, Maggie, is a South Windsor native who spent most of her life in the town. Her infectious passion for the town supported by the incredible community and school system compelled them to raise their family in South Windsor.  Art’s three kids are in South Windsor Schools ranging from K-9 and his wife is a Special Education teacher in Ellington.  Art has a long history of teachers, administrators, and (surprisingly) students in his family which is why he has such a passion for the schools of our town.

Art has been on the Board of Education since 2018 and has been a key member in contract negotiations, budget review, and capital planning. He volunteered and was an advocate for the 10-Year Strategic plan for constructing four new elementary schools, most recently a new Pleasant Valley school.

Art believes education is the cornerstone of the community, and there is nothing more important than making sure the children, teachers, and administrators have all the necessary resources to continue to make South Windsor one of the best school districts in the state.  This comes through not only ensuring the curriculum is robust by way of using recognized and celebrated methods and making sure the school budget is used effectively and efficiently.

Art has built a reputation and takes pride as someone who will not partake in partisan politics and will work with all towards the same common goal: putting our children first.  He has demonstrated repeatedly that it takes someone willing to look at and understand all sides of an argument to make the right decisions, because leadership comes through informed decisions, not divisive action.
